Minister of Energy and Water Walid Fayad represented the President of the Republic Michel Aoun in the activities of the "High Level Dialogue on Energy" hosted by the United Nations General Assembly.

Speaking via "Zoom", Fayad addressed the international community, in which he announced the "commitment of the Lebanese state to developing the renewable energy market in order to achieve the goal of 30% of renewable energy by 2030, based on the report of the International Organization for Renewable Energy Agency."

Fayad stressed the "importance of renewable energy in Lebanon to find solutions to the problems of the energy sector," noting that one of the top priorities of the Ministry of Energy and Water is to develop renewable energy projects with a capacity of more than 4000 megawatts of wind and solar energy projects.
